An open-ended, peer-reviewed book series from the West Point Press exploring the lives and impact of some of the diverse graduates of the US Military Academy at West Point.
The series aims to highlight some of the exceptional men and women comprising the Long Gray Line whose examples, decisions, dilemmas, failures, and successes provide enduring lessons on leadership. The Press is especially interested in proposals that feature those whose exploits and accomplishments have not received the attention they deserve. Solidly researched and accessibly written, the works in this series will educate, inform, and inspire readers.
Books in the Leader from the Long Gray Line series will be historical nonfiction. They will vary in length based on their subject matter and the specific form they take (e.g., annotated memoir, annotated autobiography, biography, letters and journals, etc.).
The West Point Press welcomes submissions from all scholars regardless of rank or institutional affiliation.
Interested authors should review information on submitting proposals on the West Point Press website.
